How to Create a User Account in Flare Kite

Flare Kite allows account administrators to create and manage user accounts with three role options: User, Manager, and Admin. Follow this guide to set up a new user account and ensure a smooth onboarding process.


Step 1: Log in as an Administrator

To create a new user account, you must log in to your Flare Kite dashboard using an administrator account.


Step 2: Access the Users Section

  1. Once logged in, navigate to the bottom of the dashboard view.
  2. Click on your name or profile picture.
  3. A menu will appear on the left side with four options. Select Users.

Step 3: Add a New User

  1. In the Users section, enter the email address of the person you want to invite to your Flare Kite account.
  2. Select the appropriate role for the user:
    • User: Basic access to view and use assigned features.
    • Manager: Access to manage specific groups, sites, or features.
    • Admin: Full administrative access, including user management.
  3. Click on the Kite Icon to send the invitation.

Step 4: Invitation Email

The new user will receive an email with an invitation link to join Flare Kite.

  • The link is valid for 24 hours. If the user does not accept the invitation within this time, revisit the Users section and click the Kite Icon next to their email address to resend the invitation.

Step 5: User Onboarding

Once the user clicks the invitation link:

  1. They will be prompted to enter additional onboarding information required to complete their account setup.
  2. After submitting the information, their account will be created.

Step 6: Verify Account Activation

Revisit the Users section on your dashboard to check the status of the new account. The status will update to Active once the onboarding process is complete.


Tips for Managing User Accounts

  • Ensure you select the appropriate role for the new user to assign them the correct level of access.
  • Keep track of pending invitations to ensure users complete their setup within the required time.
  • Only account administrators can create, update, or manage user roles.
